Limex tray washer at Van Son & Koot
Niels van Ree, Team Leader Propagation at Van Son & Koot: “Good hygiene is of great importance to us, especially in the propagation and cultivation departments.
We grow a wide range of ornamental shrubs, 40% to 50% of which are Japanese maples, also known as the Acer. We are committed to quality and aim to grow our plants healthy and free from diseases and pests, all in a completely biological way. We have switched to using reusable trays, which not only saves costs but is also better for the environment. When purchasing a traywasher, our main requirement was that it should be easy to use without compromising on cleaning quality. With Limex, we found an excellent partner who meets all our needs.”
Bart Bovee, Sales Engineer at Limex: “One of the key features of this machine is its versatility; you can use it to wash different products. With the side adjustment, it’s very easy to switch between various tray thicknesses. Additionally, the machine is equipped with a belt filter, meaning the filter needs less frequent manual cleaning, and the water lasts longer.”
Hans Boer, Working Foreman at Van Son En Koot: “The thinner trays require some extra guidance to prevent them from getting stuck or damaged. That’s why a special guide has been built in, which can also be removed to widen the machine.”
Experiences of Van Son & Koot with the Limex tray washer.
Niels van Ree: “We spoke with several companies, but with Limex, we immediately had the best feeling. It’s important to us that we’re not just a number, but seen as serious partners. We were even treated to a slice of vlaai (Red. Local pie) in the beautiful Limburg region, which definitely helped! But ultimately, it’s all about the service. Since the machine was delivered, we’ve noticed that Limex takes us seriously. The first trays that have gone through the washer are as good as new and can be filled with beautiful plants again next year.”
