Reichenspurner Hof restricts the spread of viruses and moulds thanks to the new Limex crate washer
Reichenspurner Hof’s greenhouses are located on a site where various types of fruit, vegetables and herbs were once grown for the lords of the castle in Tüssling, Germany. Today, strawberries, tomatoes, and peppers are cultivated there using the latest technology.
Strawberries are grown in substrate troughs while the vegetables are stored in plastic crates after harvest. The troughs and crates must be regularly washed and disinfected. And just like in cultivation, these processes are performed using the latest technology.
Reichenspurner Hof were looking for a washer capable of cleaning 300 units per hour. To realise this aim, the company decided to use Limex’s expertise. Sales Engineer Bart Bovee discussed specific requirements with the customer, which soon led to the selection and installation of the T1500E crate washer.
Washer suitable for diverse crate and trough types
The Limex T1500E crate washer is equipped with a quick adjustment system, meaning the machine can be configured in only a few seconds to wash different sized crates. The machine is suitable for 400 x 600 mm sized plastic crates used for tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers, as well as one metre long substrate troughs for strawberries. The machine also features a dosing pump that enables a non-foaming cleaning agent to be added, ensuring optimal hygiene. The washing process complies with proven laboratory research to successfully remove CGMMV and ToBRFV, as well as moulds such as Fusarium and Phytophthora.
Personal support ensures optimal use of the crate washer
After the machine was installed, Bart visited Reichenspurner Hof again to perform a final check and to offer detailed instructions to employees. The customer is extremely satisfied with how the machine operates.
