What is a crate washer

At Limex we develop crate washers, but what exactly is a crate washer and for what purpose is it used? The crate washers we develop are used by companies that require high standards of hygiene in their processes, for example in the food sector. In that industry, it is absolutely essential that all processes are as clean as they possibly can be, to give viruses, fungi or bacteria no chance to survive. A crate needs to be not only visually clean, but also microbiologically. A crate might look ‘clean’ to the human eye, but there can still be viruses, fungi or bacteria present on the surface. And in our own research lab we make sure to keep up to date with the latest developments in the world of viruses, to which we respond by adapting our machines and systems according to the latest knowledge. Our Limex crate washers have a capacity of cleaning between 150 and 4,000 crates per hour, with a focus on reduction of the usage of water, energy and chemical consumption. Another advantage from an economical point of view: our Limex crate washers retain a high residual value because of the extensive trade in used machines, so it’s an investment that keeps its value over time.
